Yes. ATEC is based in Berwick and delivers public courses, chair yoga and in-house training across the City of Casey and Cardinia Shire, plus online across Australia.

Where are ATEC courses held?

In-person programs run from Rossmoyne Family & Community Centre in Berwick, other Casey and Cardinia venues, and at your workplace. Many courses are also available live online or on-demand.

Do you offer Mental Health First Aid in Berwick?

Yes. Accredited Mental Health First Aid is available as public courses in Berwick and as in-house training for workplaces across Casey and Cardinia.

Can people with limited mobility join from local Casey or Cardinia classes?

Yes. Chair yoga and TCTSY are designed so participants can sit, stand or lie down and skip or adapt any movement.

Are courses suitable for beginners?

Yes. Chair yoga, TCTSY and many wellbeing workshops are beginner-friendly and options-based. Accredited MHFA is designed for people with or without a mental health background.

Do I have to come to Berwick?

Not always. Berwick is the main in-person base, but ATEC delivers on-site training across Casey and Cardinia and offers online options.

How do I enrol in an ATEC course from Casey or Cardinia?

Do you offer online courses for people across Casey and Cardinia?

Yes. TCTSY, selected yoga and Pilates sessions, and live virtual workplace training are available if travelling to Berwick is not practical.

Is there training for community groups in Officer and Beaconsfield?

Yes. Community groups can join public courses in Berwick, book a local workshop, or start with a free micro-consultation.

Do Cardinia schools book trauma-aware education?

Yes. Cardinia schools and education settings can book trauma-aware education and related inclusion workshops on-site or online.

Is this de-escalation training the same as restraint training?

No. ATEC's program is prevention-first. It focuses on why behaviour escalates, staff self-regulation and communication that reduces threat. It is not a restraint course.

Can Cardinia schools and NDIS providers book de-escalation training?

Yes. Schools, NDIS providers and community services in Pakenham, Officer, Beaconsfield, Emerald and Koo Wee Rup can book half-day or full-day custom sessions.

Do you run workplace de-escalation training in Casey?

Yes. Trauma-informed de-escalation is delivered face-to-face at workplaces across Berwick, Narre Warren, Cranbourne, Clyde, Hampton Park and the wider City of Casey, or live virtual.

What is TCTSY and can I do it from Casey or Cardinia?

TCTSY is Trauma Centre Trauma-Sensitive Yoga, an evidence-based, choice-based practice used as an adjunct for complex trauma. It is available as an online taster, 20-hour foundational training, and private sessions, so people across Casey and Cardinia can take part without travelling.

Do you offer trauma-sensitive yoga in Pakenham?

Yes. Pakenham and Officer participants can join TCTSY and chair yoga online, travel to Berwick classes, or request a group program locally.

Is there chair yoga or gentle movement for people in Cranbourne?

Yes. Cranbourne and Clyde residents can attend Berwick chair yoga, join online sessions, or ask about a custom program for a local group or NDIS team.
