2. Full disclaimer

2.1 Educational tools for practitioners. Our therapist tools are educational resources for qualified practitioners, such as counsellors, psychologists and social workers, to use in their work with clients. Some tools are made for support workers and other staff, and say so on the product page. Those tools should be used within the worker's role, training and supervision. Our products are sold only to adults aged 18 and over.

2.2 Not a substitute for professional judgement. The tools do not replace your clinical judgement, your supervision or an individual assessment of each client. You are responsible for deciding whether a tool suits a particular client, and when and how to use it.

2.3 Not a crisis or risk assessment tool. The tools are not crisis support and are not a crisis or risk assessment tool. If you are worried about your safety, call 000 if you are in immediate danger. For 24/7 support, call Lifeline on 13 11 14, Beyond Blue on 1300 22 4636 or 1800RESPECT on 1800 737 732. You can also text Lifeline on 0477 13 11 14.

2.4 No guaranteed outcomes. People respond in different ways. We do not promise any particular result from using a tool.

2.5 Your rights. Our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. This includes a guarantee that each tool matches its description and is fit for the purpose we say it is for. Nothing in this disclaimer excludes, restricts or changes those guarantees. See our Refund Policy.

4. Extra wording for family violence tools

4.1 The safety line above already includes 1800RESPECT. For any tool that relates to family, domestic or sexual violence, also add this line to the product page, the clinician notes and the client handout:

5. Wording for the free Self-Check

5.1 This wording goes on the Self-Check course page and on the first page of the Self-Check PDF.

5.2 "The Self-Check is for adults aged 18 and over. It helps you reflect on how your work is affecting you. It is a PDF you fill in on your own device. We never collect or see your answers. It is not a diagnosis, and it does not replace advice from a health professional. If you are worried about your safety, call 000 if you are in immediate danger. For 24/7 support, call Lifeline on 13 11 14, Beyond Blue on 1300 22 4636 or 1800RESPECT on 1800 737 732."
